2.6 Distress Tolerance – ACCEPTS (Crisis Survival Skill)

Welcome back!

Let’s start  this week off with one of Alice’s mindfulness experiences.   Alice is not only a board certified music therapist but is also a sound healer.  She suggests setting an intention before beginning this exercise.  “Sound healing is vibration plus intention.”  Start off by scanning and noticing your body, your emotions, your thoughts.  Observe and describe.  Set your intention.  Watch the video and while you make the tone, again be mindful of what you observe in your body, thoughts, urges, and your emotions.  I know someone who uses sound to reduce headache pain.  What do you notice when you do it?
